My Job Is To Think Small: Alison Whitehurst On Leaving the Big Things to God

Cultivated-S3.4-Blog-FeaturedImage.jpg

This week's Cultivated features Alison Whitehurst, a New York actress whose recent credits include the first National tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical; The Fortress of Solitude, at The Public Theatre, Off-Broadway; and the world premiere of Born For This, a musical celebrating the incredible true story of Bebe Winans.

Alison discusses the breaks that took her from Texas to New York and the role her faith plays in guiding her life. With a career as uncertain as The Theatre being worked out in a city as overwhelming as New York, Alison manages to keep things simple. She sees loving God and loving people as her chief priorities. After that, her career and all the baggage that comes with it is in God's hands.

Cultivated is a production of Harbor Media and Narrativo Group. This episode was produced and mixed by Mike Cosper and edited by TJ Hester. Our theme song is by Roman Candle. Music by Roman Candle and Dan Phelps.
